Travel Trailers

Travel trailers are towable RVs with sleeping, kitchen, and bathroom amenities for camping and road trips. They attach to a standard hitch receiver (bumper pull) rather than requiring a 5th wheel or gooseneck setup like larger RVs.

Ultra-light trailers under 3,500 lbs can be towed by most SUVs and half-ton trucks. Standard 5,000-8,000 lb travel trailers need a half-ton or 3/4-ton truck. Heavy 10,000+ lb trailers need a 3/4-ton or 1-ton with appropriate hitch setup.

Look for: sleeping capacity for your group, full kitchen (stove, fridge, microwave), wet or dry bath, slide-outs for extra living space, climate control (AC + furnace), fresh/gray/black water tanks sized for your trip length, and awning for outdoor living.
